Construction Inspector

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Perform various inspections and/or testing on highway and bridge projects to ensure conformance to all plans and specifications
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting jobsite progress and findings
• Other miscellaneous duties as may be assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• ODOT Pre-Qualification in any of the following categories: Project Inspector, Structures Inspector, Construction Engineer I or II along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in highway and bridge construction inspection
• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management or degrees that exceed these requirements
• NICET Highway Construction Level I or II
• ACI Concrete Field Testing
• Ohio Aggregate Technician
• ODOT Flexible Pavement
• ODOT Traffic Work Zone
• Qualified candidate must have a valid driver’s license and retain a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Ability to read and understand plans and direction given in the English language
• Basic computer skills
  • Ability to create and/or edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents
  • Ability to create and/or edit Microsoft Exchange emails with attachments
  • Ability to create and/or edit PDF documents
• Experience with Site Manager, Go Formz, Mobile Inspector is a plus
